TIP: No más Polillas en tu despensa!

TIP: No more moths in your pantry!

Hi, I'm Coni Quiroz from @datosypicadas on Instagram And today I didn't want to bring you a fact... today it's a Tip! And it's to get rid of those nasty moths that invade our pantries... who hasn't had it happen to them!

Here I explain how to end this never-ending story of moths in our food (they love to be in flour, oats and nuts).

There is always the option of fumigating, which will help you with this and other pests. (But after that, you will still have to take the precautions that I will indicate, so that they do not come back)... And if you do not want to fumigate, you can buy Raid moth tablets at the supermarket.

BUT ... whether you do one or the other or neither, to stay moth-free these tips will save you!

1️⃣ First things first: clean and THROW AWAY everything that is contaminated. You won't gain anything just by removing the moths because they tend to lay a lot of eggs.

2️⃣ Once clean, change the way you store your food: Your favorites are nuts, flours, oats and grains.
For this, use airtight containers, zip-top bags (Ziploc type) that are well sealed, or jars with 3-turn screw caps (they keep the seal better). You can also leave some of these things in the refrigerator, especially in the summer.

If you keep all these temptations well sealed and then clean and throw away the “contaminated” items, the moths will not return! Proven!

BONUS TRACK: if you put small cups with white vinegar they won't come close.
